"Special" Appointments are 15 minutes.  We will do as many poses with all of your family or individuals as we can.  Images will be reviewed and orders placed after the appointment.  Payment in full is expected and checks will not be accepted for the special.  Santa is optional :)      

• August 9th and 10th we've set our sites on Mackinaw! We will be doing beach sessions in the shadow of the bridge. A great chance to get your self up north and some unique pictures while you're there
• August 14,15,and 16 We are setting up shop at T*Rods Collision Center and Restoration at 4470 S. Saginaw in Burton for car and bike portraits. No snap shots here! Dynamic professional pictures with or without people your choice.  There are several print options and no sitting fees.   
• August 19th we will be making appointments for out annual trip to Dow Gardens for their amazing flower gardens and a just beautiful walk. 

Here is the list of the new classes. I think there is something in it for everyone. I'm especially interested in the class with kids. I think it's going to be wonderful chaos!

I wanted to post for everyone some of the shots I took while we were out and especially the rain/shutter speed demonstration we were so lucky to get. I say that only half sarcastically, we did get chased indoors by the rain but it went away and gave us this nice demonstration and all those great droplets on the trees after it stopped.

First here is the frozen raindrops exposure 1/1600 at F3.5 ISO 3200

Next here is the slow shutter speed and smooth rain exposure 1/10 at F14 ISO 200

Lastly here is the average exposure that is more like what your camera would choose on automatic.  1/125 at f4 ISO 200

You can see that they are all well exposed for the scene, they are all in fact letting in the same amount of light.  What we are able to do with aperture, shutter speed, and ISO it to make creative decisions that the camera just cannot and will not make for us. That is really the heart of learning photography, of learning the photographic process.  There is a tool box available us, a large deep history of resources, to make great photographs.  What we are starting with is the simple powerful tools we use everyday with every picture.
